General Visiting

For the safety of our patients and in the best interest of your family member or  friend, please follow these guidelines closely:

No more than two visitors per patient at one time.
·
Visitors must stop at the information desk on the first floor in the lobby and receive a visitor pass prior to visiting patients.  This is a security precaution.
·
Smoking is absolutely forbidden.
·
Please do not sit or lie on the patient's bed or the other bed in the room.
·
When a doctor comes in, or the patient is receiving treatment, please leave the room.
·
Patients in the Critical Care Unit are not allowed flowers for health reasons.
·
Any person with a cold, sore throat, or other transmittable illness should not visit patients.
·
Rest and quiet are essential to the health and welfare of the patient.
·
 Visitors are encouraged to utilize the cafeteria, even to eat food brought in from the outside.   Out of consideration for patients and other health reasons, please do not eat in patient areas.

Critical Care Unit                                                                                   

Visitors for the CCU are limited to the immediate family only.  The hours are 11:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. for 20 minutes each.  Only two visitors per patient at one time.

Obstetrics

No more than two visitors per patient at one time and then only at the nurse's discretion.  All other visitors may wait in the lobby area and visit as agreed to by the nurse and patient.

Children under twelve are not allowed to visit in patient room areas and are to wait in the front lobby, supervised by an adult.

Pediatrics

Parents and grandparents may visit any time and, if desired, one parent may stay overnight.  To make arrangements for an overnight stay, consult with the charge nurse.   Friends may visit during regular visiting hours.  No one will be allowed in after 8:00 p.m. unless approved by the nurse.

Younger Visitors

Visitors must be at least 12 years of age.  Children under 12 must remain in the lobby area under the supervision of an adult.

Hospital Facilities for Visitors

The cafeteria is located on the ground floor and is open to visitors from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.  Visitors are encouraged to utilize the cafeteria even to eat food brought in from the outside.  Out of consideration for patients and other health reasons, please do not eat in patient areas.

Snacks may be obtained any hour from the vending machines in the cafeteria.

A visitor's lounge in the main lobby is conveniently located next to the gift shop.
