Wound Care

Glades General Hospital offers Wound Care in concert with Physical Therapy.  Under the direction of a physician, wounds are assessed, treated and appropriately dressed.  Services include debridement, hydrotherapy, compression bandaging, ultrasound and electrical stimulation on the wound bed.  Our professional staff is dedicated to educating each patient with instruction in proper positioning, follow-up dressing changes, functional exercises, correct use of assistive devices for ambulation, and, where appropriate, diabetic counseling.   For more information, please contact Carmen Walls, RPT, Director of Physical Therapy.
